Silver Spring, MD, Research Triangle Park, NC, and Montreal, Quebec -- February 22, 2000: United Therapeutics Corporation (NASDAQ: UTHR) announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Paladin Labs Inc. (TSE: PLB) to be the exclusive Canadian distributor of Uniprost, also referred to as UT-15, for the remainder of the clinical trials and after regulatory approvals.

Uniprost is a synthetic variation of the prostacyclin molecule which is produced within the body in order to keep blood vessels healthy. The drug currently is in Phase 3 clinical studies for the treatment of pulmonary hypertension, a generally fatal disorder.
